Biography

Dr Masood Hajian received his undergraduate B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 1999 and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran in 2002 and 2010. He was a visiting researcher at the Laboratory for Electric Drive Applications and Research (LEDAR), Toronto, from April 2010 to February 2011 working on resonant DC/DC converters design and development. Masood conducted his research in design and experimental development of a prototype 30kW DC grid including several AC/DC and DC/DC power electronics converters at the University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen, U.K, in the period 2011-2013. He was promoted to a lecturer at the University of Aberdeen in 2013 and was involved in teaching and research in the field of renewable energy harvesting and integration to grid until July 2017. He is currently with Isfahan University of Technology as an assistant professor. His main research interests include power electronics, HVDC and FACTS, electrical machines and drives, and nonlinear control. Dr Hajian is a senior member of IEEE since 2016.
